Bilderberg Kasteel Vaalsbroek - Vaalsbroek 1

This is a very good place if you are looking to relax, enjoy beautiful suuroundings and have some truly special food. The rooms (especially the ones in the new wing) are comfortable (suites are very good), there is a lot of nature to be admired (but also cities and attractions). Special mention for the restaurant, where the chef serves local ingredients in a creative way, paired with the local wines of St. Martinus, which are a prime example of Dutch wines done right

Room is big, but no king size bed available so one star off, breakfast is decent, one elevator which is standard in Europe. Kettle is available for hot tea or water. Lotion, body wash and shampoo in reusable bottle stick in the wall which is environmentally friendly but not convenience to use as two of them are far from the shower.

Very nice location and ambiance. Staff is really friendly and the food and drinks are very good. Loved the terrace next to the pond. Rooms are big and comfortable, but it was kinda hot during the night. Can definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous hotel. Lovely rooms. Free parking with a Spa and Health Centre. Breakfast is normal. Spread is normal just like any other smaller hotels. Staff not too friendly in restaurant but nice during check in and check out.

Great setting. Good, comfortable rooms with fridge, kettle, tea and coffee. Modern and good quality bathroom fixtures. Quiet at night. Very cosy and quiet pub in the old smithy/water mill. Very friendly staff. Very large indoor swimming pool. High quality gastronomic restaurant but a bit frugal on quantity. Wines as always much too expensive!

We went here in a Corona lockdown, but that is the only reason I'm not giving 1 stars. When we reserved there was no lockdown, and we asked if the hotel would close, but they would not and the food would be done by take out (no discounts were offered, so we were still paying fulll, which in this case is quite some money already if everything went as normal). Fine. We were fully pepared. But everything was the bare minimum: Service, Breakfast (straigth out of the supermarket, bakeoff that is still soft, orange juice from a pack etc), Dinner (priced at 20 euro's for some very basic stuff and the menu did not change, so thw same two things for lunch and dinner on both days..), hospitality (The room was freezing cold when we arrived), the room (160e a night for something very basic, no bath, no mini fridge, 1 layer toilet paper that is office quality, no coffee machine, huge gab between the matrasses). Also the pictures showed a castle with a nice view, but when you arrive you realisr that the actual room are in a side building and you are lucky if uou are not looking out on the parking lot, or in our case a inner "garden" that is all tiles (which, with max 12 rooms full, you would expect those 12 would atleast be place in a manner that is nice for the guest, not nice and close together for the cleaning crew). These are not normal circumstances, I understand but we are paying for normal, while getting not even 20% of what I would expect for the price. Thus I will not come back here and would not recommend anyone to come here. If you offer bare minimum you should either upgrade the room (there are like 12 people here, I think you can manage), or offer a discount.If this is what they are at the worst then I can not imagine how they are when everything is a okay.

We loved it! Super amenities, friendly staff, all the great food for brunch. Clean, great location. Easy to rent ebikes e.g to discuss the region. We will come back. Can absolutely recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay! It was all I wanted, calm, peaceful with beautiful nature. They did not offer us a place to stay but a real experience. Well done?
