M	Michiel Werkman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positief verrast door Puur in Oldenzaal. Mooie sfeervolle zaak met klantvriendelijk personeel. Het zat er om 18:30u al behoorlijk vol. Ook een goed teken. De menukaart en wijnkaart zijn overzichtelijk en de prijsstelling is in overeenstemming met het gebodene. Wij namen de leuk gepresenteerde truffelsoep en zwijnsnek met truffeljus en kaas als dessert. Hoewel de truffel er niet echt de hoofdrol in speelde waren de gerechten wel heel mooi op smaak. De keuze qua kazen is uitstekend. We begrijpen alleen niet goed waarom bij het hoofdgerecht, waar heerlijke gekookte/gestoomde groenten bij waren, ook nog eens een apart bakje salade en zowel frietjes als gebakken aardappelen geserveerd werden terwijl er toch ook al aardappelpuree op het bord lag. Dat is wel erg veel van hetzelfde. Nog wat extra gekleurde groenten op het bord zelf had beter gepast. Al die extra koolhydraten hebben wij maar gelaten voor wat het was. En om ons heen ziende gebeurde dat meer. De geadviseerde wijn smaakte trouwens uitstekend bij het voor-, en hoofdgerecht. Samengevat: er zijn wat attentie- en verbeterpunten maar wij komen hier graag nog een keertje terug. Positively surprised by Puur in Oldenzaal. Nice cozy place with customer friendly staff. It was already quite full at 6:30 pm. Also a good sign. The menu and wine list are well-arranged and the pricing is in line with what is on offer. We took the nicely presented truffle soup and boar neck with truffle gravy and cheese for dessert. Although the truffle did not really play the leading role, the dishes were very tasty. The choice of cheeses is excellent. We just don't understand why with the main course, which included delicious boiled/steamed vegetables, a separate bowl of salad and both fries and baked potatoes were served while there was already mashed potatoes on the plate. That is very much the same. Some extra colored vegetables on the plate itself would have been more appropriate. We left all those extra carbohydrates for what it was. And looking around us, that happened more. The recommended wine tasted excellent with the starter and main course. In summary: there are some points for attention and improvement, but we would like to come back here again.

This Surprise Menus or whatever the name is have the uniqueness of having the chef/owner picking your diner dishes and the wines. Let the wise chef take care of you and be pampered by not having to decide. The only question will b: are you allergic to any food. You better don't. CHEERS! Service was personalized and each dish was presented and explained to my brother's family with charm. For me as a visitor the experience was perfect! The food delicious and the nigh unforgettable. The restaurant is in a cousy spot behind an ancient church. You wouldn't guess that you can eat from scallops to German deer in the verge of fall in Oldenzaal.
