β β β β β The bridge has two segments, for ships traveling left to right and right to left, similar to the road. Its rush hour Friday. I am travelling with colleagues. The bridge opens in plenty of time for a container ship which understandably has a lot of momentum and is not agile. Just as this ship passed, before the bridge was lowered, this sequence commenced on the far deck and it was raised. The near deck lowered but the bridge was still impassable. Then a third ship needed to pass and the near deck raised again. Road traffic was queued for kms on both sides. This bridge is not fit for purpose, inconveniencing all parties and creating dangerous traffic situations through frustrating people.
Also my colleague will have a deduction on his salary because he was delayed and made late for work on another similar occasion.
