Brompton Junction Amsterdam - Reestraat 14-H

Accidentally bumped into this Brompton Junction while visiting Amsterdam. Visiting the shop was such a treat. It has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and is especially good if you are new to Brompton bikes. I ended up getting my first Brompton here. A shout out to the staff, especially Andrea and Ben who helped answer my questions during the many visits before I eventually decided to make a purchase ;-)

If your going to hire a bike then this should be the only place you get your bike from. Open it, fold it, take it with you everywhere you go and you don't need to leave it outside no where ??? Happy days

Great staff! Very friendly and helpful! From bikes to recommending places for eating cakes. We rented bikes here that are clean and well maintained, like new. Store has all latest bikes for sale. Brompton attracts attention even in city which is full of bikes. Overall great experience not to be missed. Thanks again

I had a better experience when I visited this store on January 2020. The shopkeeper was very welcoming and passionately explained everything about brompton. Fast forward 7 months, it was unpleasant experience. I couldn't agree more with the recent reviews from other visitors. The attitude of the shopkeeper (I'm 99% he is still the same guy) is totally changed, I'm curious what happened to him that makes him unfriendly nowadays. (I purchase another brompton today and he seems not happy at all)

Amazing experience here yesterday when Alberto the store mechanic saved my afternoon and possibility of making my 16:25 Eurostar with a working bike after the pivot screw sheared off completely. Amazing service and really nice guy - thanks very much!!!

Excellent service. Amazing selection of bags as well. Very friendly staff. We were able to hire a couple of high quality Bromptons for less than old bikes from hire shops. We took them on the train to Delft for the day (no charge), and the staff in museums and cafes looked after them for us.

First of all, I'm a huge Brompton fan after buying my first Brompton bike from Vincent at Overtoom Brompton store. Now I've purchase a total of three Brompton and one of them is for my wife. Recently when to Brompton new store in Amsterdam to purchase the Nine Street Limited Edition which I've been told so far Brompton have only produced 50 + 20 units. When I saw the paint works on this new edition, I was a work of art and I felt in love with it. Why I've only given this store review only two stars... it's because of the level of service. Not that it was bad but it was disappointing for the following reasons. 1. Told the sales staff that I will be riding the bike right after checking into my hotel. It was a lovely day in Amsterdam and I wanted to be out riding my new bike and after paying for the bike, brooks saddle and also a Brompton bag, I told her to help me pump the tires and just double check the bike. I will pick it up at 4pm. 2. In purchasing the Brompton bag, one would assume that the front carrier block would be on the bike or be offered to purchase it. Online, it showed the bike with the carrier block. Even if I need to purchase it, it's only a small cost. As you can guess how this experience goes, so excited to take the bike out and found out I can use my new Brompton bag for my ride because there isn't a front carry block. Ride the bike for 10 mins and then realized the tires has not been checked or inflated to the correct PSI. Luckily the tires didn't puncture. Yes, I should have checked that the front carry block was an option and also do a tire pressure check before every ride. But I have asked specifically to help me check the tire pressure and help me pump it if necessary. The sales staff assure me that it's fully inflated from factory. I felt she has not been working at the Brompton factory before or been trained adequately. This will never happen at Vincent's store (Brompton Junction at Overtoom). The reason I have purchase my first 2 Brompton was because of the knowledge and service which was evident with Vincent. So to sum it up, when you purchase a Brompton bike... make sure you will get the service and support from your sales staff. Enjoy your Brompton :)

Coolest Place in Amsterdam to Rent a Bicycle. Only 10 Euros a day. The shop is really good and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I love those bicycles and going definitely to rent one for riding this beautiful city.
