Nice walking area with the dog. Be careful because there are ticks in the higher grass along the canal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het is geen bijzonder mooie brug, deze ophaalbrug, maar wel een functionele. De brug doet alleen dienst bij actieve (plezier)scheepvaart, als brug krijgt ze voetgangers, fietsers en stadsbussen te verwerken. Er ligt een bussluis net achter de brug komende vanaf de Von Weberstraat, doorgaand verkeer is daarom ook niet mogelijk.
It is not a particularly beautiful bridge, this drawbridge, but it is a functional one. The bridge is only used for active (pleasure) shipping, as a bridge it has to deal with pedestrians, cyclists and city buses. There is a bus lock just behind the bridge coming from Von Weberstraat, so through traffic is not possible either.
