★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice restaurant/cafe with very nice people where I personally dine almost monthly. The cafe is situated in the small village of Spaarndam along the old village main road. I recommend the mixed grill plate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ July 2015, we stayed in a nearby home, and chose to eat there the first night because of its location and the second night because of the terrific food, reasonable prices and enthusiastic local atmosphere. Having dined at many restaurants across western Europe, our clear favorite is Cafe de Tourist. Despite its name, it seems far from the typical tourist track. A true gem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Keep returning to this nice restaurant. Good place to bring the family. I've only ever been on a Sunday and then the place is very busy, so probably a good idea to check if a reservation is needed if you're in a hurry. And if not, and you don't have a reservation, you can simply enjoy a drink at the bar and wait for a table to become available. Service with a smile is quite literal here. Very professional and accommodating staff. The food is excellent and although the place was packed we didn't have to wait long for our meal to arrive. Definitely a recommendation!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love this restaurant. It's VERY bustling and can be loud so it's fantastic if you want to enjoy that kind of energy. Their meat dishes are excellent. It's casual food, tender meat, lovely sauces... it's more than what you'd expect from your standard fare and with very good service and atmosphere.
