Amazing experience. Good french food . Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Outside by the canal when it’s warm and sunny . Inside for a nice diner .... Well done ?? ??

Nice atmosphere and decor but service and food could be better. Price high for what you get. Wouldn't rush back anytime soon ?

I loveeee oysters and have tried many places but these are my favorite in town! Other dishes are so so, good Chablis.

Despite waiting 20 minutes to be seated past our scheduled reservation time, the food was delish and the atmosphere of the terrace dining along the canal was very pleasant.

Almost a five star review for this trendy and busy restaurant, if not the steak had been too cold and the dessert took too long to come. Otherwise the cooking certainly above average and the service very pleasant ... even though my impression was too few wait staff around for this size restaurant. Overall recommendable, certainly not a tourist trap.

We were kindly received by the waitress and immediately ordered some food and drinks. We were surprised that our food arrived after an hour and a half. The oysters were given away to another table and without apologies we had to wait an extra-long time. That's why we didn't get the food at the same time. We wanted to order more food, but because of the long wait we didn't order it anymore. When we asked for the bill, we had to wait 25 minutes for the pin device. I spoke to the waitress about this why we have to wait for everything. This was due to the staff shortage. The staff shortage at George should not be the problem of customers. We asked for compensation since the oysters were given away and everything was served very late. The waitress could do nothing but offer coffee. We were not satisfied with the coffee and asked that our two soft drinks be taken off the bill. Otherwise, we had also to wait 30 minutes for the coffee. For us it was not about the money, but about the service and that people had to deal with this without mercy. We are not angry, but disappointed and therefore no more George for us. Furthermore, we as persons are not impatient or difficult, but in the catering industry I do expect manners and respect towards customers. Waiting very long for anything including for the pin device is downright ridiculous. I am very sorry that I had to write this review like that. I give a 5 for the great food but otherwise the experience was not worth more than a 1.

Lovely architecture, great atmosphere and friendly staff, George is one of my favorite place for a Sunday brunch in the Amsterdam canals. They offer vegan options and gluten free bread. I reccomend you to book a table, especially on weekends can get quite busy. If you are visiting Amsterdam don't miss it.

I had a delicious vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries. The lemonade mocktail was tasty and fresh. Service very good and friendly
