I visited this place in July of 2019, unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. The service was unacceptable, as we were waiting for a very long time our food, and the waiter didn't pay attention to us, but only to the local visitors. To them, were friendly, quick and polite. They brought us one wrong plate, we couldn't order anything else as we had to wait more than an hour, the waiter insisted that he had written the order correct, so one of us didn't eat. Also, we gave the salad back as it has something in that it wouldn't be there. We receive a very "cold" apology and that was it. I don't know why, but they treat us very bad.

We visited the place for the first time and the customer service was amazing!! The waiter ( short guy) was really kind and he helped us since the beginning. He was fluent in English and very polite. Also, he let us waiting close to the restaurant until a table was available. We really enjoyed our time there and even the menu was in dutch, the waiter was illustrative.

Quality traditional cuisine with a modern twist. We have been here a few times, and I always eat well. We sat outside next to the water. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed. The menu does not have that many choices, but all is there (meat/fish/veg).

We were with a large group and had some specific demands. But Aaltje's staff handled everything flawlessly. A great dinner in a nice atmosphere. I can really recommend this pplace

Delicious dinner with my wife in this Bistro restaurant in Weesp. Great buzz of a full dining room, but still able to have good conversation. And good service, even though the kitchen was clearly very busy. The menu offers lots of interesting choices at reasonable prices. Friendly and accurate service by our wait-person. All in all, an excellent evening.

I cant find anything negative about this place and the people that are working there. The atmosphere is very nice. its big inside but it feels cosy. The staff is amazing. They notice you when you come in, are very polite, are quick with serving the food and take time for a little chat eventhough it can be busy. We celebrated my boyfriends birthday there so the staff arranged some small fireworks and sang him the birthday-song. There were 3 other men who celebrated their birthday there as as well that evening and they did the same for all of them. THE FOOD: the menu is small (which I like). It has traditional Dutch food and there is a choice of fish/meat/vegetarian. All Fingerlicking-good. As a desert I would suggest the cake with the warm/melted chocolate in it or the truffel with a cup of coffee. We ate here a couple of times and we have never been dissapointed. When friends from abroad visit us, we always bring them there and so far they all loved the place and the food too. Thumbs up. Go Aaltje. Go Weesp.

Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff even under the pressure of having to serve dinner to everyone before 20:00. There could have been a wider choice of vegetarian dishes. I went for the venison which was excellent as was the warm chocolate cake for dessert. One can choose a side to have with the main course. A "plain" mashed/creamed potato would have been nice as would have a side of seasonal vegetables. We had a wonderful meal!

This place is really great. Second time I went here, found it by accident while exploring the area. The steak (ossenhaas) tenderloin is amazing. They serve it in a little cast iron pan with melted butter, mushrooms and a charlotte onion. Truly in perfect balance with each other. The staff is very friendly and highly skilled. Aaltje has plenty of outdoor seating, same as indoor. They area is very nice to explore and Aaltje is located next to the canal. Highly recommend to come here for snack, drinks, lunch or dinner! Enjoy!
