2017 Door het verwijderen van de tussenwand en het verlaagde plafond brengt de huidige eigenaar John de Roode Courzand honderd jaar na dato weer terug in oorspronkelijke staat, waarmee het zijn rijke historische uiterlijk weer terug heeft.

Beautifull restaurant where they offer good typical Rotterdam food. I love what the new owner did to the place. A must go!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this place over thirty years ago when it was known as the Parrot Bar and looked very different! A nice bar with friendly staff, and although I didn't eat there the food looked good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was very slow. Although at the start the place was full when we ordered desserts and coffee it was empty and still it took ages to get our order. The food was ok but nothing very special about it (3 stars for food).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place for lunch or dinner, or just to have a drink at the bar. Say hi to the parrot in the back or enjoy the numerous maritime items on the walls and ceiling.
This place played an important part in local history during WW2, when german soldiers watched movies upstairs while jews were hiding in the basement!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The menu shows good starters, the oriental prawns are excellent. Main course fish or meat. The planked salmon and the steak for big eaters are very tasty. Interiour of the restaurant is decorated with ship attributes and there is a real parrot. The terras is great when the weather is good.
