Er zouden boekdelen vol over geschreven kunnen worden. Het oudste en misschien ook wel het gezelligste eetcafé van Amsterdam.
Waar het verteer in lang vervlogen tijden nog met de griffel op de lei werd geschreven, de rekening in muntstukken van een cent werd betaald, waar veel gelachen, gehuild en ook wel eens gelogen is.
Zo’n typisch eetcafé dat zo eigen is aan het oergezellige Amsterdam Oud Sloten. Natuurlijk is ook hier de moderne tijd niet onopgemerkt gebleven, maar van het oorspronkelijke karakter is veel behouden gebleven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stumbled on this outstanding bistro in a out of the way neighborhood. We enjoyed the spinach in Phyllo but the entree blew us away. We both had the Veal Liver with bacon and onions and loved it. They bring out an order of great frites with the entrees as an added bonus. Great service and reasonable. Our only regret is that they were closed Monday so we could not return for and encore.

The staff was awesome (Rico is the best) and the food was incredible. I'm not kidding. Ana and I were completely blown away both by the entrees and the desserts. 6 stars.
