Family restaurant where you can eat delicious. Different meat and fish dishes. Free parking in the street in front of the door. Very hospitable service and personal approach. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance, because it is usually full.

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Alles was lekker vers en de bereiding van het vlees was perfect. Wij komen hier zeker terug.

On our European holiday from Australia our last stop was staying with my wife's cousins family in Soest. We wanted to show our appreciation by taking them out to dinner and my wife's cousin said that friends had suggested they try Cafe 'T Plukje at the next opportunity. This turned out to be excellent advice....wonderful food and service to accompany a very special evening. For our entree we decided on the seafood platters that were a special that evening and salads of jambon/prosciutto and melon. The salad was delicious but the seafood platters were amazing, with nine different types of fish, shrimp and smoked salmon. At this point we were afraid that we would not be able finish the mains that we had already ordered such was the generous size of the starters. The atmosphere and decore inside Cafe 'T Plukje was warm and friendly and with a couple more drinks and good conversation flowing we were ready for our mains. As with our starters the main courses were of the finest quality. The satay pork was very tasty, the duck breast was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and a slightly pink blush and the rib eye steaks were tender, juicy and delicious and prepared exactly as requested, in my case medium rare....perfect!! The accompanying salads and French fries were as substantial as the rest of the meal and as a result we only had room for some coffees to finish an exceptional evening. If you love really great food in welcoming surroundings you should make Cafe 'T Plukje your next choice for a night out....you will be glad you did.

This is not a restaurant you will find many tourists in but it’s a smashing little corner serving Dutch traditional food, all homemade from scratch and to a high standard. Lovely atmosphere and decor in an historic building. Please be aware they don’t accept credit cards from outside Netherlands. I got stuck without cash and the manager was very understanding, allowing me to pay a different way later, but there was no warning of this, probably because they don’t expect tourists there.
