★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over dit cafe weet ik niets, om de doodeenvoudige reden, dat ik er nooit geweest ben ( of het moet vroeger een andere naam hebben gehad.Bij navraag bleek dit ook te kloppen. Want eerder heette deze gelegenheid " de boortoren".)
I don't know about this cafe, for the simple reason that I have never been there (or it must have had a different name earlier. When I inquired this turned out to be correct. Because before this place was called "the derrick".)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nieuwjaarsborrel met collega's van tsn thuiszorg gehad hier, super goed geregeld , leuke vlotte bediening en heel gezellig ingericht, we komen zeker een keer terug !!
New Year's drinks with colleagues from tsn home care had here, super well arranged, nice smooth service and very cozy, we will definitely come back again !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Ait Wha, Mangs Nè" Of het goed gespeld is weet ik niet meer, maar na jaren tussen de Limbo's gewoond te hebben, is het een ware thuiskomer. De meeste Café's in Twente zijn anders dan in de rest van Nederland. Ze kennen het echte HillBillyhuiskamer effect: Gezellige inrichting, bier uit de beugelfles, piraatzender op de achtergrond, lieve zorgzame bediening en mede cafébezoekers die je als broers ontvangen op de kruk naast zich. Gelijk Annie van het Liepke, een helaas verloren gegaan boerderijcafé wat aan de rand van Hengelo stond, begrijpen ze hier wat nostalgische gezelligheid betekent. De pret wordt nog eens versterkt door dat het hele gebeuren, in een voormalig zoutboortoren huisje is onder gebracht. Met AH op de achtergrond, is het een ideale afsluiting na het winkelen, en een aanrader als hide away, voor hen die dat winkelgedeelte juist willen ontlopen. Een pareltje!
"Ait Wha, Mangs Nè" I don't know if it is spelled correctly, but after living among the Limbo's for years, it is a true homecoming. Most Cafes in Twente are different than in the rest of the Netherlands. They know the real HillBillyhuiskamer effect: Cozy decor, beer from the swing-top bottle, pirate broadcaster in the background, sweet caring wait staff and fellow café visitors who you receive as brothers on the stool next to them. Like Annie van het Liepke, a farm cafe that was unfortunately lost on the outskirts of Hengelo, they understand here what nostalgic cosiness means. The fun is further reinforced by the fact that the whole event has been housed in a former salt-derrick house. With AH in the background, it is an ideal ending after shopping, and highly recommended as a hide away for those who want to avoid that shopping area. A gem!
