Ik heb bij elke snackbar in Amersfoort en omstreken gegeten en niks kan tippen aan de degelijkheid van de Dalton. Niks hips, moderns of luxe gewoon de beste patat en lekkerste snacks. This is Amersfoort's best snack bar. A household name for decades. I have eaten at every snack bar in Amersfoort and the surrounding area and nothing can match the reliability of the Dalton. Nothing hip, modern or luxurious, just the best fries and tastiest snacks.

Er stond 1 medewerkster en wij bestelden binnen bij haar twee borden friet met kroketten en frikadel en een drankje en gingen op het terras zitten. Na 10 minuten werd er vanaf binnen naar buiten geschreeuwd: "Uw patat is klaar!!" Wij waren de enige klanten, dus we keken elkaar verbaasd aan. Dat de mevrouw die twee borden niet even kwam brengen vonden wij wat vreemd en niet bepaald servicegericht. En zo schreeuwen..Maar goed, de zon scheen, de tafels waren schoon, de kroketten en frikadel waren lekker. Ook zat er een klein beetje salade op het bord, als garnering. Lekkere frietjes, wel wat weinig. Al met al een wat wisselende ervaring. Spacious business with terrace. A number of beautifully manicured flower bushes. There was 1 employee and we ordered two plates of fries with croquettes and frikadel and a drink from her and sat on the terrace. After 10 minutes they shouted from inside to outside: "Your fries are ready!!" We were the only customers, so we looked at each other in surprise. We found that the lady did not bring those two plates a bit strange and not exactly service-oriented. And yell like that.. Anyway, the sun was shining, the tables were clean, the croquettes and frikadel were tasty. Also there was a little bit of salad on the plate, as a garnish. Tasty fries, but a bit small. All in all, a somewhat mixed experience.

Kom er al zo een 30 jaar, sinds dien is het interieur onveranderd en waan je jezelf in een gezellige vintage snackbar met vriendelijke gastvrouw die altijd een praatje maakt. Goede krokante patat en goede kwaliteit snacks. The best snack bar in Amersfoort for years. Ik bestel er meestal een grote patat oorlog en een hamburger speciaal. En neem van mij aan dat de patat van cafetaria De Dalton is, zoals patat hoort te zijn in vergelijking tot bijvoorbeeld de oerdunne frietjes die je bij Mac Donalds krijgt. En dan de hamburger speciaal. Die is zo ontzettend groot en smakelijk met alles er op en er aan zoals een hamburger speciaal hoort te zijn. Dat is mijn ervaring over de patat en de hamburger speciaal. Andere snacks zullen ontgetwijfeld net zo smakelijk zijn. En dan de mevrouw die de snacks maakt, is een lieve hardwerkende dame die idd gezellig een praatje maakt en je het gevoel geeft van harte welkom te zijn in, voor mij, de beste cafetaria in Amersfoort ! And take it from me that the fries are from cafeteria De Dalton, as fries should be compared to, for example, the very thin fries you get at McDonalds. And then the burger special. It is so huge and tasty with everything on it and on it like a hamburger should be special. That's my experience about the fries and the burger special. No doubt other snacks will be just as tasty. And then the lady who makes the snacks, is a sweet hardworking lady who has a nice chat and makes you feel welcome in, for me, the best cafeteria in Amersfoort!
