They say their products are vegan, but they are actually vegetarian!

We were initially amazed at their vegan range. Ordered a bunch of food, and called them after to thank them for including so many vegan options. Out of curiosity, we asked who makes the vegan frikandellen, as we have not encountered those yet in NL (apart from the mini's at Albert Heijn). His answer: "Mora". Basically, they are passing off vegetarian food as 'vegan': all their so-called vegan snacks contain egg. They have a specified vegan and a separate vegetarian menu as well, consisting of different products, indicating they - in fact - know there is a difference between vegan and vegetarian. Can't write this one off as ignorance, unfortunately. They first lied to us on the phone when we asked them to read the ingredient list of the 'vegan frikandel'. A quick Google search into Mora's frikandel shows egg as one of the ingredients. They still continued to say that it was vegan. They assured us of it. So we decided to visit the shop ourselves the next day. We still had a glimmer of hope, haha. The employee there checked the ingredients and -again- assured us it was vegan. "No egg", he said. It was not until we asked to check the box ourselves that we indeed saw 'egg' as the fourth ingredient listed. This goes for all of their 'vegan snacks', except for the kipkorn. I could not even check the vegan döner (kebab), because it was packed in plastic sandwich baggies; no label, sticker or nothing. Red flag. Vegan garlic sauce, same story. I asked them what they are going to do about this, and they literally looked at me like: "what's the problem". If you are vegetarian, they have plenty of options though. Just be sure to order from their vegan menu :/

Lovely family run cafe run by hard-working locals. You've heard of cat cafés in amsterdam well this one has an adorable very friendly dog ?. From my experience last night i would say it is very welcoming, safe and LBGTQI+ friendly ? will hopefully be back in future. Especially for the cafe's chicken wings ? that are finger licking good? also has a few vegetarian, vegan options and a working bathroom ? for customers. The only thing I would say is that it is a bit small and the floors need a wee bit of a clean but don't let this stop you from paying a visit as food hygiene seems to be very good here.
