In december 2019 ben ik geopereerd in Cali, Colombia. Ik ben nu 3 maanden post up en kijk met goede ervaringen terug naar mijn tijd in Cali. In het begin vond ik de reis erg spannend omdat ik alleen reisde vanuit Nederland, maar vanaf het moment dat ik het vliegveld uitliep (ik werd opgewacht door personeel van Calibelleza) tot het moment dat ik Cali verliet heb ik me nooit onveilig of eenzaam gevoeld. Ik werd 24/7 verzorgd en niks was teveel gevraagd voor de verpleegsters. Zelfs tijdens de nachten na de operatie dat ik vanwege de pijn wakker werd hebben stonden zij de hele tijd aan mijn bed totdat ik weer in slaap viel. Ik heb kortom een geweldige ervaring gehad met in Calibelleza recovery house. De eigenaresse Cheyenne heeft me ook heel erg bijgestaan, ze is heel open en eerlijk over alles en kon haar 24/7 bereiken, en zelfs op haar vrije dagen nam ze de tijd om mijn vragen te beantwoorden en om me gerust te stellen. Tijdens mijn dokters afspraken waren Cheyenne en Sharon er altijd bij en vertaalden zij alles voor mij. Bij het wakker worden na de operatie waren zij er ook bij. Zou ik achteraf gezien opnieuw voor Calibelleza gekozen hebben? Jazeker, ik heb een geweldige ervaring gehad met Cheyenne, Sharon, de masseuse en de verpleegsters in het recovery house.

this review is for the recovery house in Cali, Colombia. i stayed here a year ago for my surgery. i would not recommend this place. the owner is never on present at the place when guests are staying - she lives in europe and only visits when guests have already left. this allows the staff (cook & nurse) to run the house however they want. they tried to charge me for things they said were included. the driver tried to charge my boyfriend for his ride back to the airport, even though we paid for that included in the price. when he was confronted about it, he said he didn’t have any money on him given from the owner to pay the toll and my boyfriend almost missed his flight. the driver was also late once because the staff didn’t tell him to come pick me up to drive me to the doctor for a follow-up appointment - by the time he came, i was so late that the doctor shortened the visit in half instead of my full time. the staff has drinking problems - my boyfriend bought beer to keep in the fridge for himself and the staff drank them so much to the point that they forgot to give me my medicine a few times that was scheduled to be taken at a certain time every few hours. then they even lost my surgical bra that the doctor gave them the day i came out of surgery and i had to have it replaced. lastly, the massage therapist who works here said she would give me a discount on massages if i booked in advance, so i did. after surgery, the doctor said that he only wanted his own therapist to be doing my massages so i asked to cancel the ones at the house. the lady didn’t want to refund me the money and claimed that she already spent everything i had given her so she couldn’t refund me it. i had to get the owner involved to get my money back for the massages. so many things went wrong here within a matter of 10 days, what a nightmare. PLEASE look elsewhere if you are planning to have surgery in colombia.
