I was a second time mother and terrified of labour after having a traumatic experience with my first child resulting in an emergency assisted ending. Miranda convinced me to do the course because she was so confident that I could have a completely different experience with the help of hypno-birthing and she wanted me to enjoy labour and my second birth. I went into the course terrified but with a positive attitude. I wanted to make it work this time around. Miranda gave me the knowledge of child birth that I have not received else-where even the NCT class I took the first time around only focussed on pain relief. She took us on a journey through childbirth in time and after all it’s something the human race has done forever medically unassisted. We learnt valuable breathing techniques, watched videos of positive natural labours, and had positive hypnosis. I felt prepared this time when it came to my labour and I was actually looking forward to it. When the time came, my birth was enjoyable. I felt in control, I knew what was happening at each stage and my baby was born with me having no pain relief at all. I felt so pleased that I was able to have a natural birth and a real Sense of achievement. Thanks to Miranda for everything, it meant so much to me.
