β β β β β Pick up proceeder in Amsterdam is a JOKE. Customer service was TERRIBLE!! Loved our little van but the company as a whole needs to look at how they run it and make a lots of changes.

β β β β β Great concept, careless implementation. When I went to fetch the camper in Amsterdam (really not convenient area) nobody was expecting me at all. HQ had not informed the Amsterdam depot of my booking. Alas almost an hour of waiting the camper was brought from elsewhere, and the staff did a very quick cleaning of the van in front of me. The van has so many dents and scratches they were not concerned about more occurring. When I got onto the road my wife discovered all ashtrays in the back were filled with old cigarette butts and joints, traveling with 2 young children you can imagine how happy my wife was, so we delayed things further that day to go and clean the van and equipment included again ourselves just in case. The Wicked Camper is a great concept, but the management need to apply some love and attention to their work which is clearly lacking. Oh and btw the company also deducted β¬1,000 from my bank account as a βsecurity depositβ, when I saw all the dents and scratches I wondered why, but in any case it has now been 10 days since I returned the camper and I still have not received my β¬1,000 bond back...bad experience and waiting for it to end.

β β β β β You get what you pay for which for us was a dirty car with rubbish not cleaned up, no fuel cap, moldly car interior, moldy tent. Back door didnt open so we couldnt even use the sink. It gets one star for the cool design on the car.
Dont bother hiring their vans. Pay another 100 euro and get a nicer car.

β β β β β Literally would take pages to say how horrible this experience was. Not clean, not safe, and not ethical in the slightest. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Please take the time to read the reviews of this company - there are SO many people with similar experiences and I would implore anyone considering this company to do anything else! It's just not safe and it's just not worth it.
I was given a filthy van that had not been cleaned and had no gas. I nearly ran out of gas trying to get to the gas station. I figured I would just clean it myself at a service station. I didn't realize until after sleeping in it that it was full of bed bugs and I woke up with large, small and painful spider bites all over my whole body (photos included). The van ran for the first 2 days and then began breaking down on me. It first left me stranded on the side of the road at 10:30 at night 800 km away from the rental location in a mountain area without cell phone reception. As a single woman, traveling alone, I have to say that I did not feel safe being stranded in an unplanned on location without cell service and forced to hitch hike for help. In driving back to the original rental location to return the van, it broke down on me 5 times!
I tried to contact the company after returning it to discuss the problems and all the breakdowns and spider bites, but they will not return my phone calls or emails. They also never returned my $1,000 pounds worth of "hold money" or bond money which you are supposed to get back after returning the van. I reached out many times over a 2 month period and they still never returned the money. I had to contact my bank and report it as a fraudulent charge and they dealt with the company for me to get my money back.
Please, please, please do yourself a favor and book somewhere else - anywhere else!! If you encounter problems (which is very likely based on the majority of such experiences as seen in many reviews that you will read) please know that Wicked Campers is not the kind of company that will have good customer service and make it right. They literally told these other 2 girls that also had a breakdown to just sleep outside the mechanic shop while the van was being worked on inside. This is just SO not okay!! They will take your money regardless of your experience and simply not respond when you reach out with any kind of expectation of accountability. I wanted to wait to leave my review in order to give them a chance to make this right. It has been 4 months and so many phone calls and emails and no response whatsoever. You deserve a better vacation than this. Put your money into something that will give you a good and memorable experience!
