★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wij gaan er erg vaak op uit met onze caravan maar dit is de enige camping waar we al 4 x zijn geweest. Dat zegt genoeg over de kwaliteit van deze plek.
We often go out with our caravan but this is the only campsite where we have been 4 times. That says enough about the quality of this place.

Small quiet SRV campsite, but very clean sanitary facilities and a very helpful owner. Everything looked very neat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Camping Steenwijkerland is een mooie, eenvoudige camping. De gastheer is onopvallend aanwezig om het zijn gasten zo goed mogelijk naar de zin te maken. De kleinschaligheid van de camping en de landelijke ligging waarborgen rust, terwijl het centrum van Steenwijk in luttele minuten fietsen te bereiken is.
Het sanitair is schoon, degelijk en onverwarmd. Er is één douche en die is ruim, het water warm en de vloer koud. Douchen kost € 0,50 voor 5 minuten, voor mij was dat voldoende. Een paar badslippers met dikke zolen voorkomen dat je met de warme voeten op de koude vloer staat.
De afwasplaats is voorzien van twee spoelbakken, één kraan met uitsluitend koud water. Er is een afdruiprek en er staat een centrifuge met een afwasteiltje. De wasruimte is voorzien van een wastafel met een hoge mengkraan die warm en koud water geeft. Daarnaast is een toilet met een ventilator en daarnaast een urinoir.
Voor kinderen zijn er geen voorzieningen, maar het glad gemaaide en prachtig onderhouden kampeerveld is een mooie plek om je uit te leven met een bal, badminton racket of een frisbee. Bovendien is er in de directe omgeving van alles te doen, van een dierentuin in Kallenkote tot bootje varen in de Weerribben of Giethoorn.
Camping Steenwijkerland is a beautiful, simple campsite. The host is unobtrusively present to make his guests feel as good as possible. The small scale of the campsite and the rural location guarantee tranquility, while the center of Steenwijk can be reached in a few minutes by bike.
The plumbing is clean, robust and unheated. There is one shower which is spacious, the water warm and the floor cold. Showering costs € 0.50 for 5 minutes, for me that was enough. A pair of bath slippers with thick soles prevent you from standing on the cold floor with warm feet.
The dishwashing area is equipped with two sinks, one tap with only cold water. There is a drainer and there is a centrifuge with a sink. The laundry room has a sink with a high mixer tap that provides hot and cold water. In addition, a toilet with a fan and also a urinal.
There are no facilities for children, but the smoothly cut and beautifully maintained campsite is a great place to have fun with a ball, badminton racket or a frisbee. Moreover, there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity, from a zoo in Kallenkote to a boat trip in the Weerribben or Giethoorn.

Je kijkt zó de landerijen en akkers op!
Het is super genieten;mooi om te wandelen en te fietsen.En ook nog dichtbij de stad Steenwijk,ook de Weerribben en Giethoorn vrij dichtbij
voor een dagje varen.

You look up the lands and fields in no time!
It is great to enjoy, nice for walking and cycling. And also close to the city of Steenwijk, also the Weerribben and Giethoorn quite close
for a day of boating.
