★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Currently spending four nights here. Great quiet location near food and shops. The lobby is very nice. Check in was quick and no problem checking in early after a long flight. The room is great. Large room for European standards: extremely comfy bed: bathroom is a nice size with a good shower. Had one of there all day breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent. So glad we decided to stay in Haarlem over Amsterdam. Much nicer local vibe and less touristy. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very pleasant stay over the weekend. The staff was really pleasant and helpful. The restaurant serves quality food which combined with the friendliness and hospitality of the waiters makes for a great dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived at the door to get room late this evening. Not possible. The guy at the door wouldn’t even listen to my story of what happened. No exceptions. When I asked him to call a taxi to another hotel his response was a phone number. “Arrange yourself.” Now happily at the van der Valk hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent staff, compact hotel, fine location with nice cosy ambience. If anything I got less opportunity to enjoy is the restaurant if the hotel, which I liked so much during one dinner and three buffet brealfasts. I would have certainly liked an additional opportunity to engage with chefs creations...
