★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castricum is the best beach in the area. Super long extension, a wide strip of sand, the waves are generally not big and also a long extension of shallow water, so the kids can play more safely. Lots of good restaurants along the coast. The only thing is the place might get too crowded on a sunny day, with long traffic lines and car parking might be a an issue.
