★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands now is not the organisation it used to be. In the past you went there to start a company with no appointment and most of the work was performed there. Now you have to do most of the administrative work yourself. After getting an appointment at the office in Amsterdam you mostly need to wait for weeks. When the time comes and you sit in front of a servicer, you just confirm everything you already filled in before. In comparison to the old organisation though you end up paying more for different sorts of products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I experienced an emotionally abusive attitude from a call operator. I was belittled for asking basic questions about getting a KVK number, and ridiculed for not knowing what the precise criteria are for applying for a specific benefit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy to access the building. 7 min walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Very welcoming and supportive. The person that went through the registration with me came to pick me up at the waiting hall by calling my name. I found it very sweet. Though I didn't fill all sections online in Dutch, the assigned person translated it for me. Extra sweet. ?
