Keep in mind that if you are a small eater such as myself and you order an entree (ciabatta with home made garlic butter and, if you ask for it, tapas) you won't feel hungry when your food actually arrives. All that this tells me is that their food is high quality!

Although the food was not that bad, the service was absolutely terrible. Not only were we served the wrong dish, but also did we have to pay for it. Be careful with ordering extra toppings on the pizza and don't say 'yes' to everything they offer. Every little add on will cost more than expected. Also, expect to be asked for bread, another drink or 'anything else' every 5 minutes. Finally, we were told to find a near by ATM to pay the bill in cash, since the machine did not work. My girlfriend was then asked to stay to ensure that we would not run off. The ID sufficed after all. The food, however, really was not bad.

In short we asked if pizza is big enough for two persons, he replied no it is small for one person so we ordered two, asked for tap water and he brought glass bottled water that was open (probably tap water refilled) charged it as spring water and pizza came almost 20 min later even thought we were the only ones in the shop... and my pizza was wrong, I ordered 4 cheese and prosciutto came.. plus each one was for 2 ppl as size!!! On top of all this he insisted on bringing garlic bread for 2 and charged it 9 euro! and demanded to pay in cash and gave us -2€ wrong change... if you have no other shop open and it is your last chance to eat only then go...!
P	Patricia Mancheño on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner offered us bread with sauces. We said yes thinking it was a ration for everyone and he served 5 rations, charging us for that € 22. There was no one else in the place and it took a long time to bring us the pizzas. The owner does not stop offering us things every two minutes to see if we consume more. So the only thing you get is that customers get angry, get overwhelmed and never come back. I dont recommend this place.
R	Rowan van as on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marco is a real Italian meastro, he runs the restaurant for more than ten years in Rotterdam, at least thats how long I live in Rotterdam. I always order Pizza at Ciao and they are really good with fresh ingredients! Try the pizza Venezia, its great! The pizzadough is very tasty. Also the pasta's are great. Some people in the reviews say bad things about Marco that he is pushy, but the guy has a big heart for his restaurant and if he is offering you drink or bread as a starter and you dont want it, be clear about that you dont want it and all will be fine, he is a kind person. The location of the restaurant is also very nice, in the middle of the Nieuwe Binnenweg and you can sit outside. Ciao deserves more good reviews, hes got in my opinion one of the best real pizzeria's of Rotterdam. Ciao!

The owner was extremely pushy, asking us if we wanted additional coffee or dessert every 5 minutes; we ordered a glass of water but got bottled water and the waiter put it on our table even though we refused to take it, when asked whether they serve tap water they said yes, but after a while he said that unfortunately they don't and that's the only option; he was asking all the time if we want something more, and he was tapping my back!! while asking if the food is good (3 times in 20 minutes). He was standing close to us, watching as we eat and when we asked for a receipt, he again asked if we want coffee or anything else!! At the end he charged us more than he was supposed to and I had to argue for a fair price. For the whole stay we did not hear "I'm sorry" even once. The food was not that bad (although I cannot say it was somewhat special), but the service makes this place totally awful and the experience is something you do not want to repeat again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
W	When Where on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They might push you tu pay more instead of the price you should pay. We were down there with my friends, ordered 3 cappuccino's and 1 beer (tap bier), so we had to pay 10 euros. The waiter came and claimed thay we had to pay 14 euros. When we asked why, he couldn't give us a good argument. It was not definitely a nice experience...
