Just 2 min from Dam Square, Amsterdam you will find CKX Studio, a concept store where everything is blue. Located in the ‘Blaauwlakenblok’ (blue cloth block), where traditionally the dyers where located, working with woad and indigo.
CKX Studio offers a carefully selected collection of sustainable clothing, artwork & home accessories. Timeless and iconic pieces that cut through gender and time. We offer lots of denim, indigo handcraft, blueprint artwork (cyanotype), alongside other blue streasures.
Vintage, antique, reworked and upcycled items, as well as handcrafted local goods and contemporary designs focusing on organic fabrics and natural dyes. Unique items with a story, based on a love for craftsmanship and the blues.
Something old, something new, something fair, something blue.
P.S. We even serve a blue latte in our coffee to-go corner!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little shop packed with unique treasures (much of which is handmade, upcycled or salvaged retro finds)... and they also sell coffee. Their beautiful cyanotype blueprint of Amsterdam city centre on handpressed paper was a great souvenir artwork. The lady who runs the shop is really nice, passionate about what she creates, and very interesting when explaining her work. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Amsterdam... If nothing else, I want to try some of their unusual coffee options.
