β β β β β A beautiful garden, great for photographs or just to enjoy the beautiful plants. It's only a little small and I found it quite hard to get there with public transit.

β β β β β Beautiful, small and well kept, contains some elements of a traditional Japanese garden, located in the middle of a larger park area.

β β β β β Amazing garden with playground area and water. Herons, ducks and geese around and zen maintained gardens on some parts. Is easy to reach by bike, transport or walk. I recommend walking since some parts are walking only.

β β β β β Not very big but definitely beautiful. They're opened 8 weeks a year and has free entrance. On this sunny Mother's day it was a bit crowded but still very enjoyable.

β β β β β Too many people with too many smartphones taking too many pointless pictures...reviewer included. If you want to enjoy this garden's beauty try to go very early in the morning or when it rains as there might be less people. Otherwise just forget it...

β β β β β The Japanese Garden is a small but pretty section within the Clingendaal Forests in The Hague. It is opened during the spring and for a limited time of two weeks during autumn. It has the Buddha statues surrounded by cherry trees, small ponds and green moss laden soil. It is a very good place for both adults and kids but I found it it a bit too small in area for all the crowd it attracts. I visited it during autumn but have heard that there are mesmerizing cherry blossoms during spring. If possible, visit it while in The Hague. I have attached some photos of the Japanese Garden and the Clingendaal woods

β β β β β Beautiful garden inside a park: the Japanese garden was brought to The Hague virtually plant by plant at the beginning of the 1900. Everything is very delicate, so dogs are not allowed and kids only with parents (a maximum of 2 per parent). The garden is closed during the summer. Make sure it's a sunny day, the light is just magical.
