The assistant was not focused on customer's needs, compared to her manager and the other colleagues that looked professionals. Won't reccomend.

My friend and I had girls doing our hair on different levels of experience. We both paid the same price for wash & blowdry and felt we were way over priced from what the website said. What it said online, we should have had a haircut included with the price we paid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So I have mixed feelings about Cosmo but I think my rating can be helpful if you're looking for a new hairdresser and are not sure where to go. I went to Cosmo for maybe 1 or 2 cuts and came back on a regular basis to trim my fringe. For people with fringe, I really appreciate that the trim is free between cuts. The cuts where perfectly fine in my opinion, I had nothing to complain about and was happy with it. I think I always had the same blond hairdresser (i don't know her name) and was happy with her but when stopping by for a trim you don't have the choice of hairdresser. So when I went the last time I had a different one to trim my fringe. I asked her to do the same shorter and for some reason she decided to make a gradient in my fringe which I didn't ask for and didn't like. Everyone knows that a fringe is sensitive so I was very disappointed that she didn't even ask me if I wanted it. So I made her cut it more to make it straight and to which she asked me if I liked it like that.
I found that comportment very inappropriate and disappointing so I never went back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff, know what they are doing, polite, and friendly. My go to place for a haircut. You are greeted after you enter, take your coat, and sit you down with a drink of your preference. They then discuss with you how you would like your done, and give you the price upfront (so no surprises). The owner usually does my hair, and always gets the right balance between season, business, and casual. In short a place I would highly recommend to get your hair done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ridiculous policy about timelines. I was late for just 8 minutes and my appointment was canceled despite I had been a loyal client of this salon for almost 2 years. The interior is nice, but the staff is rude, the quality is average and doesn’t worth the price. Very disappointing experience. They should learn how to treat their customer and what does good service actually mean.

Old: I had visited quite a few different hairstylist before routinely going to Cosmo Amsterdam Byzantium. The owner of the place Roy is one of the more trustworthy hair stylists I have encountered in my life. Service is always very good and personal here, you get your coffee / tea when entering, no excessive waiting. All in all would recommend this anyone looking for a hairstylist in Amsterdam. Especially for men this place is where you should go.
