About Crossmoor
De golfbaan van Crossmoor is een echte Championship Course, zowel uitdagend als gevarieerd en goed te spelen voor golfers van uiteenlopende handicapcategorieën. De bekende baanarchitect Joan Dudok van Heel ontwierp de eerste 9 holes, zijn collega Hans Hertzberger stond aan de wieg van de andere 9 holes die in 1988 in gebruik werden genomen. Er zijn uitstekende oefenfaciliteiten waar onder een aantrekkelijke Par 3 (9 holes), die ook gebruikt kunnen worden door minder gevorderde golfspelers.
De 18 holes liggen in het rustige natuurgebied van de Laurabossen, ver van verkeerslawaai. De natuurlijke begrenzing wordt enerzijds gevormd door het Laurabos, anderzijds door de meanderende Tungelroysche beek. Het meest in het oog springende kenmerk is de grote verscheidenheid aan loof- en naaldbomen, die de baan in elke jaargetijde weer een ander aanzien geeft.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel: very friendly staff, very clean, Extremely spacious rooms with individual temperature control, including air-conditioning. The breakfast is great, but could use some warm elements. The only 'warm' thing was a boiled egg. The choices for bread and youghurt and juices are great. The restaurant: we had a 3-courdr and a 4-course meal, which were both wonderfully constructed. The service is impeccable and very friendly. The scene for both hotel and restaurant (that doubles as golf clubhouse) is very modern and updated very well recently. Great indoor and outdoor seating. The golf course: great layout plotted between old pine and leaf trees, a little water is in play bit not too much. Maintenance is excellent and the course is a true challenge. Bunkers are Fuller with fine sand which is nice around the greens, but requires a precise shot from fairway bunkers. The rough is present but nlfinding your stray balls should prove do-able. The golf practice facilities are plenty and we'll maintained. The place also has a tennis court and petanque field. All in all one of the best play & stay experiences ever.
