In andere woorden: STERwaardig. Ceep up this good work. Very nice location. Very cosy. Chef's menu was a real taste explosion for the tongue. Our taste buds have been working overtime. In other words: STAR-worthy. Ceep up this good work.
R	Robin Palmen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super fijn gegeten. We hebben 5 heerlijke gangen gegeten volledig vegetarisch. Dikke pluim voor de keuken om er een echte vegetarische smaak beleving van te maken. De wijn was ook super en het helpt natuurlijk om in goed gezelschap te zijn. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug. Very nice meal. We ate 5 delicious courses completely vegetarian. Kudos to the kitchen for making it a real vegetarian taste experience. The wine was also superb and of course it helps to be in good company. We will definitely come back.

Leuke, relaxe sfeer. Aperitief in de bar met lekkere amuses en een 5 gangen menu dat een ster waard is! De prijs van het menu inclusief wijnen zit al op dat niveau. TOP bediening aan tafel door de jongedame van dienst!!! Zeer vriendelijk en oog voor detail! Leuk dat het wijnarragement ook in een "light" versie gekozen kan worden, een aanrader! Enjoyed the 5-course Chef's menu in Damianz this week... combined with an overnight stay in the Arresthuis. Which in itself is also recommended. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Aperitif in the bar with tasty amuse-bouche and a 5-course menu that is worth a star! The price of the menu including wines is already at that level. TOP service at the table by the young lady on duty!!! Very friendly and eye for detail! Nice that the wine arrangement can also be chosen in a "light" version, highly recommended!

N	NM RL on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing food and service! Highly recommended. One item maybe to consider for chef - peer desert is way too sweet, it needs a splash of acidity to balance it. And also powdered sugar is not needed in there too.

The restaurant is a part of Van der Valk Hotel Het Arresthuis, which opened its doors in Roermond in 2011. The restaurant is named after Roermond bishop Damianus (1724-1793). There is a Damianz menu and more exclusive chef's menu, offering from 4 to 6 sets of dishes. Going even for 4 dishes leaves you full and fully satisfied. Each dish is a firework of tastes and there was nothing we did not like or could not finish. A real gem of Roermond, just a short walk from Roermond outlet. Well worth the visit. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours to finish the whole set and a dessert/cheese plate they offer at the end of the set.

There were a few dishes where my palate was not quite sure but they certainly left a lasting impression on my palate. There were others that just blew away my senses. Truly worth a visit. The wine pairing to my veal was absolutely spot on and the risotto with lobster was melting in my mouth. Highly recommend. If not from my description then from these pictures.
