Al ons brood wordt gebakken met ons moederdesem (M/D).
Het moederdesem van de Bakkerszonen is op zaterdag 5 november 2016 geboren en is ontstaan uit een Eenkoorn. Eenkoorn is het moedergraan waaruit alle andere graansoorten zijn voortgekomen.
Ons Eenkoorn komt uit de omgeving van Amsterdam en is gemalen in onze eigen molen. De hoeveelheid Moederdesem is erg smaakbepalend. Des te meer M/D des te meer stevigheid en smaak er in ons brood zit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average bread, not warm croissants and pain au chocolat (which are also average). Not worth the price. Also they don't have éclair anymore, best they had (and I tried many of their stuff).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here with a group of four and two babies. We saw a promotion where we could mix and pick four eligible items and get a small discount on the total amount. We had preferred to sit down and order some coffee to go with it, when one of the senior staff members informed us that the discount is only valid for takeaway (which was not really clear from the advertisement). We found this an odd way of doing business and not very customer friendly and decided to do takeaway.
Ultimately the chocolate croissants and cinnamon breads were disappointing and very expensive in comparison to the grocery store next door where they offer the same item equally cold as at the bakery.
For now I'll rate it two stars, but I like to give out second chances so expect an update soon (hopefully with improvements)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Open nice and early, but expensive and the crossaints were not the tastiest. There is also room to improve the service. We arrived and the lady did not acknowledge us and kept her back to us and made coffee for 10mins before eventually greeting us and taking our order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Modern setting, many great products which were tasty. You can purchase freshly milled grains as well.
Soft brown rolls, wholegrain bread and oliebollen were our favorites. Ordering and paying should be improved as many customers were walking around confused.
