Me [excited]: Would it be possible to have one of those empty tables by the window instead?
Waitress: No.
Me [politely, as we sit]: Maybe, if one of the tables at the window becomes free later we can move?
Waitress: No.
My husband: Perhaps next time we reserve a table we have to ask specifically for a window table?
Waitress, emphatically: You can ask, but I can't guarantee.
So we left.
It was the worst welcome I've ever had anywhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place for eats and drinks with a view of the marina in Oudeschild. Let the kids play in the playground down below while you enjoy a drink on the first floor deck. Menu has good options for kids.

Stopped here mid-afternoon for a beer and some lunch, asked for a menu when beer was delivered to the table, but no one came back to follow up on the order, and we saw lots of other tables struggling to get the attention of the two wait staff to pay, so we decided to move on to get food elsewhere. Beer was €4.50 for a Texels beer.
