About De Kaap
Ieder jaar ontvangen wij duizenden gasten van over de hele wereld. En er is natuurlijk een reden waarom wij een kleine internationale beroemdheid zijn. We zijn wel heel bescheiden hoor.
U, als gast, staat bij ons centraal. Wij willen u met liefde en warmte ontvangen. Als u bij ons binnen stapt, is het bijna of u een liefdevol dekentje om u heen wikkelt.
Verder hanteren wij alleen dagverse kwaliteit. Onze producten komen hierom ook direct van onze Urker afslag. Wij hebben eigenlijk een zwak voor lokale producten. Onze polder is zo mooi..
Als u bij ons op bezoek bent, kijkt u uw ogen uit. Niet alleen om het fenomenale uitzicht, maar ook ons interieur is opmerkelijk. Antieke scheepsattributen, Nederlandse klederdracht en prachtige schilderijen dat Urk in beeld brengt.
Kortom, hier is genoeg te beleven. Laat je zintuigen geprikkeld worden door onze kennis, skills en passie. Graag tot ziens!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service in NL is not the best, this place had a decent waiting staff. The food was nothing spectacular but good taste, I love Paling sandwiches, this was pretty good. My wife loved the salmon salad. Overall was a bit pricey, but is what can you expect from the best view in town!

Cute and cozy restaurant next to the sea.
I did not find the food special here but I think it is ok when everything around you is closed.
The fish & fish was average. The salad was good.
The service is good and fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I start? Great food, great service, great decor and atmosphere, great choice for a great meal. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
The restaurant is decorated beautifully with a perfect mix of Urk and fishing boat objects. The staff are attentive, friendly and polite. Calming view of the ocean.
The choice of menu is simple. Typical Dutch cuisine and (to be expected) fish choices. I had croquettes and my husband had the fish and chips. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the croquettes cause they're usually all the same mass produced. They tasted home made or speciality made. The bread they came with was fresh and pillowy soft. I was thoroughly satisfied. My husband's fish was so delicious, too. Perfectly battered, lightly seasoned and fresh that morning. Chips nicely cooked too.
I also had a slice of appeltaart cause it's my birthday, and it was delicious too. Soft but not mushy apples, topped with flaked almonds and a nice pie crust.
I'm beyond happy we chose to come here. If I had to provide any negatives, its that they get busy quickly so get in early, you won't be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This nice fresh fish restaurant is probably in the center of one of the most dangerous cites is the Netherlands. You can't see it, but the city is full with mysterious bad guys keeping an eye on the tourists and selling illegal dope. Never the less, if you are passing bye and want to taste the fresh fish, this is the place to be!
