★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat (bijna) niemand weet is dat onze moeder (precies vandaag 11 jaar geleden helaas te vroeg overleden) hier al meer dan 35 jaar geleden (ik woonde nog thuis) mee begonnen is.
Ze heeft hele briefwisselingen geschreven met kinderen die hun wensen en problemen deelden met de kabouters.
Elke keer dat er wat kaboutertjes "waren verhuisd naar een speelkamer" maakte mijn moeder nieuwe houten figuurtjes die mijn vader trouw uitzaagde en zij weer schilderde.
Fantastisch om te zien dat de boom nog steeds bewoond wordt :-)
What (almost) nobody knows is that our mother (exactly 11 years ago today unfortunately died too early) started this more than 35 years ago (I still lived at home).
She has written entire correspondence with children who shared their wishes and problems with the gnomes.
Every time some gnomes had "moved into a playroom" my mother made new wooden figures which my father faithfully sawed out and she painted again.
Fantastic to see that the tree is still inhabited :-)
