Een verhaal van familie
De Lindenhoeve is een verhaal van gezelligheid, van samenzijn en bovenal een verhaal van familie. De hoeve is al sinds de jaren 1800 de thuis van de familie Wemaer. Eerst als boerderij, vandaag als gezellige plek voor families en vrienden.
Die transformatie is ongetwijfeld te danken aan Tante Germaine. Onder haar motto “Moed verloren is al verloren” bouwde de optimistische Germaine samen met haar man de hoeve terug op na de oorlogsbombardementen van ’44. Ze werkte hard, 6 dagen op 7, maar de zondag was – letterlijk – heilig. Dat was het moment voor de familie, om voor hen te koken en samen in het salon te genieten van koffie en gebak. Die zondagen waren legendarisch, net als Germaines kookkunsten. Dat alles leverde haar de bijnaam Tante Germaine op.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To have a drink it is a nice place. Today we had something to eat (garnaalenkroket met friet) the food was cold and the waiter didn't react after we claimed. In the end you pay 50 € for a dinner you better have in a frituur on a much higher level for 25 €....

Normally I don't bother writing a review but this experience was so disgusting that I don't want anyone to have the same experience as myself. Slow service, uncooked & cold food, overpriced food. I would recommend just going for a drink if you have children so they can play in the play garden... but eating... please don't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice atmosphere, large variety of patisserie including the famous Portuguese "Pastel de Nata"; very spacious and in the back there is a huge playground for children including a large Trampolin. The staff is extremely nice. I fully recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After having cycled accross Zeeland, we were quite happy to spend the night and evening in a nice cosy place. The room was very nice and comfy, we slept like babies. We played games in the salon area and had a nice dinner. The following morning we had a massive breakfast included, buffet level in terme of quantity, more than enough to keep us going for the 70 kilometers we had left. De Lindenhoeve was for sure a very nice stay and the personel quite friendly.
