β β β β β Cosy Dutch gastro pub with a lot of history to it. 100 years ago it also already was a bar. Not much has changed, so it seems. You can have lunch, or just a piece of cake and coffee and read a paper or have diner. People serving you are friendly. The food is decent. Nothing fancy. Just okay. And cheap! Some nights they have bands play in the back. Really nice! Check their agenda.

β β β β β Honestly a very nice and cosy place to have a drink. would give 4 stars. Only off-putting thing is the personnel. We had a coffee and stayed on our laptop writing something for uni. after a few hours wanting to leave and pay, the guy passive aggressively tells us that we are rude for not ordering more during that time to which we objected that he could have simply said so while we were working instead of rudly telling us at the end that he wasnt happy

β β β β β My husband and I were staying at the nearby Hampton inn. They recommended this place to eat, and it was about a ten minute walk. We could not read the menu, but a lovely young woman made some excellent recommendations for dinner. I had a delicious steak, done perfectly. My husband had a wonderful soup of available fish and prawns, which he devoured. They were kind enough to give us some recommendations on local places. It was a real dining pleasure.

β β β β β We walked into this restaurant by chance because it was really close to the hotel we were staying in. The specials that we ordered was a cauliflower steak with sweet potatoes and pea puree, and honestly i've never tasted a vegetarian dish this good. The food's good, and the staff/owner was really engaging too. So rare to find people who'd take interest in what you do these days, but they were really exceptional. We've been here twice now and hopefully a third before we leave Amsterdam.

β β β β β Lovely restaurant. The food is excellent, and if I'm not mistaken, they change the menu regularly. Excellent selection of fish dishes, nice range of beers for those who are into it. The staff is very friendly and will not hesitate to explain about the dishes - either in English or in Dutch. Do not feel shy to ask for recommendations - you will not be disappointed. All in all, cosy, friendly and affordable place.

β β β β β The Coolest New Year Eve Burlesque Party in Amsterdam! Already two years after each other i have been enjoying fab show here.
The Mistress of Ceremonies Lady Marmalade and the Burlesque & Variety Stars ware AMAZING! Of course i shouldnt forget the great music that was completely taken care by Deejay Charley Rhythm and the Live Swing Jazz band Killer Diller Pops.
