★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent staffs! They are very kind and polite. We've been there for library and movie theater since 2019. Today my daughter who has leukemia, needed to use toilet urgently ( result of medication). It's not a movie time yet but I decided to ask for using toilet. They are very kind even checking if everything was OK with her while she was in toilet. We so much appreciate your kindness. Thank you so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Nieuwe Kolk is an outstanding venue for theatre and movies. Very nice large theatre room with convenient seating. Great sound system. Chique foyer area with enough bars for a sizeable crowd. Sufficient toilet and wardrobe capacity. Spacious, light and clean parking garage straight between the venue with indoor connection via elevators. Always a pleasure to be here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The library has a nice collection of art books and magazines. There is even an English section. You can walk in freely.
To lend a book you need to become a member. There are no international newspapers. For that matter you have to go to Elreba and buy one.
Now and then you can buy nice books for almost nothing that are removed from the collection,
The library is situated on the edge of the center.of Assen. Nearby is a bank.
A colorful crossing path lead's you to the new.plaza.
