Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und dazu liebevoll hergerichtet, das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und die Lage ist optimal um Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Die Gastgeber haben uns herzlich aufgenommen und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Home from home (but better) in North Holland” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 September 2014 As other reviewers have said, the hostess, Britta, is just wonderful. Friendly, caring, and she seems to know what you would like before you know it yourself. My room was spacious, comfortable and artistically decorated. The bed (two separate mattresses if one were travelling as a couple) could be adjusted to suit and I had the best three nights' sleep I have had in months. There was a coffee/tea machine with ample supplies, and little plates with nuts, chocolates, dates, stroopwaffel, which were magically replenished when one was out. In the immaculate bathroom, there was a cupboard full of supplies that one might have forgotten (even make-up, I think) and a range of Provencale shower products. There was even a sauna! Brand new bikes (even a tandem) are available to hire at a very reasonable price; and in the hallway there was a wealth of information available about the area - as well as the jars of chocolates, licquorice and peppermints. Breakfast was amazing - when I told Britta I was vegetarian, she adapted accordingly. Each day there was a different type of yogurt/müsli/fruit/nut mix; fresh juice, a selection of fresh bread, croissants, rolls; cheese (numerous sorts), home-made hummus, fruit and veg; the coffee came with a smile, matching Britta's own. She offered extra bread and plastic bags if I wanted to turn the leftovers into a picnic. De Pinksterbloem was easily accessible via public transport (35 minutes by train to Alkmaar from Amsterdam Centraal; a regular bus connection taking about 10 minutes to the next street); the picturesque town centre of Bergen is close by. I very much hope to go back to De Pinksterbloem and would recommend it to anyone. I used Tripadvisor to help me find this place; and have registered for the first time, as I was so impressed.
