★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Echt een fantastische kinderopvang. Allereerst de locatie - een waanzinnig oud pand met zandbak en grote binnenplaats waar hard gerend en gestept kan worden. En Opa Henk, die voorleest en op andere manieren betrokken is. Vooral het team van ervaren leiders/leidsters maken deze opvang bijzonder. Er is visie vanuit de reggio emilia, zodat kinderen vanuit hun eigen kunnen ontdekken en ontwikkelen. In kleine groepjes werken kinderen samen en inspireren elkaar. Geen infantiele creatieve invuloefeningen maar knutselen met houtskool, leer en autobanden. Veel voorlezen en bezoeken aan de speeltuin, de tuin van het Rijkmuseum, het Leidseplein. Een goede kok (ook oud-leidster) die 4 dagen per week kookt, met hulp van de peuters. De leiding denkt mee in opvoeding en aanpak, met humor en no-nonsense. Echte betrokkenheid in het centrum van Amsterdam. We hopen dat De Platanen nog lang blijft voortbestaan en veel kindjes door de eerste jaren heen zal loodsen!
 A really fantastic daycare. First of all, the location - an amazing old building with a sandbox and a large courtyard where you can run and step. And Grandpa Henk, who reads and is involved in other ways. Especially the team of experienced leaders make this reception special. There is a vision from the reggio emilia, so that children can discover and develop from their own perspective. Children work together in small groups and inspire each other. No infantile creative fill-in exercises but tinkering with charcoal, leather and car tires. Lots of reading and visits to the playground, the garden of the Rijksmuseum, the Leidseplein. A good cook (also former leader) who cooks 4 days a week, with the help of the toddlers. The management thinks along in education and approach, with humor and no-nonsense. Real involvement in the center of Amsterdam. We hope that De Platanen will continue to exist for a long time and will guide many children through the first years!
