De Uithof is goed te bereiken via de a4 (afslag 12 Den Haag Zuid) en beschikt over een groot parkeerterrein waar je gratis kunt parkeren. Er zijn ook parkeerplekken voor elektrische auto’s en invaliden. Kom je met het openbaar vervoer? Vanaf het NS-station Den Haag Centraal is De Uithof bereikbaar met RandstadRail 4 en buslijn 25. β β β β β de uithof is a pretty skate rink which provides a perfect day out. it has a large oval rink, which is ideal for ice racing. there is a middle, more open rink in the centre which i prefer for figure skating. i love the little fairy lights around the rink, it makes it very atmospheric and gives it an extra wintery feel.
it is usually very busy, especially during the holidays and on weekends. in the early morning sessions, it is less crowded but there are lessons in progress so it can be hard to find space to practise. the ice quality really fluctuates depending on how many people are there. some days it's perfect, while other days, it feels like you're skating on rocks.
the skates are very expensive to rent, are not usually sharpened, and are very heavy, so i would recommend bringing your own. plastic seals and penguins are available for at no extra cost for beginners who need some support.

β β β β β Update:We had so much fun skating last time that we decided to try again so we went Sunday morning around 10.00. Bad idea as it was super crowded which totally ruined t he experience! Be sure to check the expected attendance before you go...
We went there for an active birthday meaning activities and some food. Though I cannot recommend the latter as the kids had a present menu exclusively comprised of fried foods topped up with ... fries, skating was a lot of fun and so was the karting experience.

β β β β β The area is fine with a big ice-skating ring and the inside smaller one. My main issue is with the price-quality offered. For 8,5 euros you buy only a pass to the ring. If you need skates you will have to rent them for additional 6 euros and the skates are of the lowest quality. The whole experience was dissapointing. Will not be eager to come back here.

β β β β β Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good climbing.
The routesetting is great, the routes are not too easy and quite challenging. Some moves are very creative and nothing felt too forced. The height is a bit more then I'm used too but routes didn't felt drawn out of rushed.
The food was good, and so was the coffee.
I would have stayed longer if I could.

The place is connected by public transport to The Hague city center (tram 4), the prices are good and affordable.

β β β β β Took a course on ice skating and in just a couple of classes i could skate.. Worth every bit of time and money i spent on the course.
Sandra was our coach and she knows how to teach very well and super chill and funny.. Overall perfect place to have fun.. Double satisfied.

β β β β β The youth climbing course is definitely worth taking. That is a 4 weeks course with a certificate at the end (if the kids tick all the boxes that they need).
The parents can wait in the cafe/waiting area while the kids are climbing. That is a nice open area with a view on the climbing walls. The chairs could use a make over as they are a bit uncomfortable, but overall a nice place to be.
