★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vlak naast de herrie van de A4 ligt vogelplas Starrevaart. Hier verzamelen zich in de herfst watersnippen, smienten, slobeenden tafeleenden, brilduikers, pijlstaarten, etc. Ook laat zich sinds een ijsvogel of roerdomp zien!
 Vogelplas Starrevaart is located right next to the noise of the A4. In the autumn, snipes, wigeons, shovelers, pochards, golden-eyed divers, pintails, etc. gather here. A kingfisher or bittern can also be seen here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie plek om tot rust te komen, onder het genot van talloze vogelsoorten.
Helaas zijn niet alle bezoekers even netjes en milieubewust. Een paar prullenbakken zouden ook niet misstaan.
Beautiful place to relax, while enjoying countless bird species.
Unfortunately, not all visitors are equally neat and environmentally conscious. A few trash cans wouldn't go amiss either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great spot to go watch birds. The well maintained shelter keeps the rain out, and the windows open nicely in three sides to allow uninterrupted views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very considerate investment by the local council and society to set up this very functional observation deck overlooking the lake (Vogelplas Starrevaart) for bird watchers. Weather proof cabin with plenty of uninterrupted viewing ports along three walls with fixed benches and arm rest/table for resting elbows as well as tripods. Place to park bicycles partially sheltered just before the cabin. Cleanly maintained. Includes ready reckoner with pictures and names of the birds usually visible in the area. You feel like in the middle of a forest even when reality is that the A4 highway is less than 100 metres behind you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to find. Good parking area. The lake had a very good selection of birds to observe. The observation hut is well situated. The path round the lake is easy to follow, a bit damp and muddy in sections. So.e of birds seen were, Golden Eye, Oystercatchers, Tufted Ducks, Pochards, Shell Ducks, Longtailed Tits, and many others. A good days bird watching and a good walk in the countryside.?
