★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel for business or leisure. It's an old building, but nicely renovated. Although in operation for years, it's nicely kept, very clean and people are friendly. We booked two rooms, both spacious and clean, having a wunderful view to the river Vechte. In summer a terasse and a tiny beach are available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room i had (no 21) was spacious with a hugh bathroom with both shower and bubblebath. The bed was comfortable, perhaps a bit too hard, but still much better than other hotels. Clean rooms and public places. The food is excellent here and well priced, especially the 3 course for 40 Eur. I bet this a lovely place in the spring and summer! I had the 3 course menu: Duck confit, beef and selected cheeses. Well presented, delicious and well priced (40 Eur). One of the best hotel restaurants I have ever tried.

The receptionist replied to stupidly I can't go out & buy for you.
I payed for 100 euro per night to receive this nonsense answer.
I feel like I was in a military camp.
The only thing good here in the staff of the restaurant.
I believe the receptionist & her manager should work on a chicken farm, but even the chicken will complain too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the 21/22 of January 2022 l was lodge in the hotel with my friend. And the embrassement we received was unbearable from 2 ladies that work on that day. They're racist working in that kind International hotel. I am totally disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't stay in De Zon but used restaurant. end of August 2021. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Reservation for 7. Didn't get seated until 7.30. portions very small and of mediocre quality. Had to wait 45 minutes between main course and dessert. There are many much better restaurants in Ommen.

NOT a 4 star hotel!!!!! Room was very old fashioned in furnishings and not well cleaned. Had to wait hours after checking in as housekeeping hadn't finished yet only to be told after nearly 2 hours that they were YET TO START!! Finally got the key at 1620hrs.
Staff are friendly BUT are still low on the learning curve, How does the place qualify for any stars? Bar prices are astronomical!!!
On checkout the receptionist did adjust the final bill somewhat as compensation.
