★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöner Tauchplatz direkt unter der Seelandbrücke sowie davor und dahinter. Einstieg: Erst über den Deich über eine Brücke mit Geländer und danach super komfortabel über eine Treppe mit Geländer ins Wasser. Man kann bis zum zweiten Pfeiler tauchen. Unter Wasser gibt es alles was das Taucherherz begehrt inclusive Sepias, die zwischen April und Juni dort angetroffen werden können weil sie dann zur Eiablage dort sind. Für die Taucher gibt es jede Menge Infrastruktur wie Umziehraum, Toiletten und einen Füllcontainer für 200bar und 300bar Flaschen sowie Nitrox. Die Gezeiten sind absolut zu beachten - das ist hier sehr wichtig und sonst haut es einen aus den Socken und ruckzuck ist man gottweißwohin abgetrieben. Grundsätzlich ist bei Niedrigwasser mehr Strömung als bei Hochwasser jedoch in Richtung Neumond wird das etwas abgemildert. Hier kann man auch schön einen Drift-TG machen wenn man einige Meter Richtung Norden den Deich hoch läuft und sich von der Tiede bis zur Brücke bringen lassen. Leider ist der Platz bei gutem Wetter, an Feiertagen, in der Urlaubszeit im Sommer und an Wochenenden ziemlich überlaufen. Es lohnt sich mal außerhalb dieser Zeiten hier her zu kommen - an den anderen Tagen kann es gut sein, dass man keinen Platz bekommt oder man irre weit laufen muss.
Nice dive site directly under the Seeland Bridge as well as in front of and behind it. Entry: First over the dike over a bridge with handrail and then super comfortably over a staircase with handrail into the water. You can dive up to the second pillar. Under water there is everything a diver's heart desires including sepias, which can be found there between April and June because they are there to lay eggs. For the divers there is a lot of infrastructure like changing room, toilets and a filling container for 200bar and 300bar bottles as well as nitrox. The tides are absolutely to be observed - this is very important here and otherwise it will knock you out of your socks and in no time you will be drifted off wherever you are. Basically, there is more current at low tide than at high tide, but this is somewhat mitigated towards the new moon. Here you can also do a nice drift dive if you walk a few meters north up the dike and let yourself be brought from the tied to the bridge. Unfortunately, the place is pretty crowded when the weather is good, on public holidays, during the vacation period in summer and on weekends. It is worth coming here outside of these times - on the other days it may well be that you don't get a seat or you have to walk very far.
