★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I thought this would be a great place to stay. We even booked the Honeymoon suite. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. But it did not change the fact that the room was dirty it had cobwebs, dust and it smelled like smoke.
We couldn't stay because I have asthma and I couldn't breathe. They told me that they couldn't refund anything. We paid for 5 days and we were there for 1. I do not reccomend staying here! I would avoid this place no matter what.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place and nice staff. Restaurant is good without being extraordinary. The room wasn't ready but we got a complementary drink in exchange. The room was quite noisy, we could hear the staff operating the trash containers and the waterflow from the room above at an annoying level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful castle and courtyard. We had a drink, got a good night's sleep and charged our electric car.
Some minor things that could be improved:
Unfortunately the baby bed was not ready when we arrived. The first room key did not work. And would be nice to get the WiFi password at check in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed one night there and it was amazing experience. It is an old Castle but completely and nicely renovated. We also had a local dinner Limburg zuurvlees which was very delicious. Our room had a nice view and it was very clean and quite. The staff were friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sunday 13 June 2020, 4/5 personnel inside grouping together having a laugh, after sitting 15min, and hearing the 5 tables on the terras complain, with a lot of effort trying to order drinks, basically virtually every order without any service mind set what so ever. Had to search staff inside for payment. In Short: in need of some heavy improvements. (4 staff members for 5 tables also too excessive). Nice location but in need of management attention. Cheers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If this place would have more staff it would be a lot better (read four stars). A lot of small issues made our stay less comfortable than you would expect in that price range.
Positive:
lovely location , and good restaurant, and the staff available is doing absolutely the best they can.
Negatives:
not so clean, not functioning airco, bad WiFi, long times at check-in, long time ordering at the bar, bad functioning tv set. It would be up to management to fix the small issues, and put more staff on that location.
Really, one person doing check-in, check-out , bar and breakfast during busy hours is a no-go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience during our stay at Doenradr Castle. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast the next day. Both were very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing weekend staying in the hotel. The room was small but cozy, with it's own bathroom. It was facing the courtyard, giving us a nice view of the castle. Breakfast was served with fresh fruits and a diverse variaties of cheese and breads. Surroundings are ideal for small walks. Bonus: pet friendly!
