Beautiful organ after the service, nice cup of coffee, but sound can be done. Pastor is difficult to understand during the entire service !!

Normale eerlijke mensen zonder opsmuk heb het wel eens anders meegemaakt!! Beautiful church with a beautiful organ, have experienced 3 services here where I felt comfortable. Normal honest people without frills have experienced it differently !!

N	Niehland Reil on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Je krijgt een warm gevoel van deze kerk ondanks dat het geloof mij nooit ook maar enigszins echt geboeid heeft. De soort bakstenen die gebruikt zijn, de vorm, het kleine torentje bovenop, de ligging, de soberheid van uitvoering. Ik liep ooit verschillende lange dagen door de oude stad van Genève waar ook Jehan Cauvin (Calvijn) vele jaren doorbracht en verwonder me nog dagelijks wanneer ik kerken in Holland zie over de invloed die de reformisten op het Noorden van Europa hebben gehad. Kijk nu bv eens naar de soberheid van de (ooit) hoofdingang van deze kerk of de eenvoud van ´het glas in lood´. Calvinistischer kun je een poort naar een godshuis bijna niet construeren, toch. Ik heb hem gefotografeerd, hij staat hieronder. En dan is het ook nog ´de kerk waarvan de bouwer de klok vergeten was´... Werkelijk niet eerder zag ik daarvoor een zo fenomenale oplossing als hier in Leiderdorp. Beschaamd over het vergeten van een tijdsmotoriek op het imposante bouwwerk werden er twee gaten geslagen in de voormuur van de kerk en daar werden twee stevige houten balken in gestoken. Aan die houten balken werd vervolgens een eenmalig prachtig uurwerk opgehangen met gouden details, een geniale en vooral protestantse vondst natuurlijk want hij was uit eenvoud geboren. Spaarzaamheid en eenvoud met een toegevoegde waarde voor de geloofsbeleving, wij Hollanders waren vroeger al handig genoeg om die waarden slim met elkaar te verbinden. De witte woning naast de kerk is de pastorie, ook dat kon in Holland heel goed: een pastorie die de grote van de kerk ´bijna´ evenaard...;) Tegenover de kerk ligt een fijn restaurant: ´De Hollandsche Tuyn´, rustieker kun je in deze totale stapelbouw omgeving van het verde dode Leiderdorp niet aan een tafeltje zitten eten, ja, het is een mooi plekje! You get a warm feeling from this church even though the faith has never really fascinated me. The type of bricks used, the shape, the small turret on top, the location, the austerity of execution. I once walked several long days through the old town of Geneva where Jehan Cauvin (Calvin) also spent many years and am still daily amazed when I see churches in Holland about the influence that the reformists have had on the North of Europe. Take a look at the austerity of the (once) main entrance of this church or the simplicity of 'the stained glass'. You can hardly construct a gate to a house of God more Calvinistically, right. I have photographed him, he is below. And then it is also 'the church whose builder had forgotten the clock' ... Never before have I seen such a phenomenal solution for this as here in Leiderdorp. Ashamed of forgetting a time motor on the imposing structure, two holes were punched in the front wall of the church and two sturdy wooden beams were inserted. A one-off beautiful timepiece with golden details was then hung from those wooden beams, a genius and especially Protestant find of course because he was born of simplicity. Thrift and simplicity with an added value for the perception of faith, we Dutch were already handy enough to connect those values in a smart way. The white house next to the church is the presbytery, which was also very well possible in Holland: a presbytery that 'almost' equals the size of the church ...;) Opposite the church is a nice restaurant: 'De Hollandsche Tuyn', you can't eat at a table more rustic in this total stack-building environment of the dead Leiderdorp, yes, it's a nice spot!
