Dees is een fantastisch mens. Zo lief, zorgzaam en meedenkend. Ik had zelf iemand nodig tijdens mijn zwangerschap die de verschillende opties die ik had kon bespreken zonder er een mening over te hebben. Ze wist goed de voor en nadelen te benoemen van de keuzes en heeft me enorm geholpen om erachter te komen wat ik wilde. Ik kreeg daardoor een beter beeld van hoe ik wilde bevallen en wat ik nodig zou hebben. De laatste loodjes wogen zwaar en ook hierbij wist Desiree soms eerder wat ik nodig had dan ik zelf. Ze geeft heerlijke voet en rug massages en liet me helemaal tot rust komen. Meteen na mijn bevalling heeft ze een aantal heerlijke voedzame maaltijden langs gebracht en checkte ze dagelijks hoe het ging met ons en of ze iets kon doen. Ik zou haar echt aanbevelen als doula want de lichamelijke en geestelijke ondersteuning is echt heerlijk en iets wat ik mis in de reguliere gezondheidszorg.

Where do I begin? Dees is an incredible, authentic, loving, and genuinely caring soul. I reached out to her as an expat living abroad, without family, and she took me as a client when I was towards the end of my pregnancy. She was always available to text or call. She gave me personal one on one attention and even further than that she supported my partner! I felt at home and comfortable sharing our story with her. The wisdom she provided and emotional support she gave us through pregnancy up until birth was PRICELESS. it really set us up to have the unmedicated hospital birth we wanted to have. When I went into labor, Dees met us at the hospital and helped us advocate for our needs. She used essential oils, massage techniques, and affirmations to help me labor naturally the entire time. Her presence was vital in our experience. Post partum care was even more personalized and special. She prepared food for me with love, provided a sitz bath and yoni steam. Every bit of my first 40 days was touched by her and made it a success. She connected me to so many other women (placenta encapsulation, lactation consultant, etc). The best part about Dees is that she will tailor her care of you to whatever you and your family needs. Without judgement and with total love, Dees will listen to your desires and help you bring them to reality. I’d hire her again and recommend her to every mama!
