Affordable hostel for those who look for an ok bed in a central spot. Staff is nice, hostel lacks a common space for guests but is surrounded by bars where most of the guests go

This hostel is what you would imagine it to be as a hostel in the Red Light District. Dorm rooms with squeaky bunks, people sleeping and awake at all hours of the day, a door that is so loud it will startle awake any of those aforementioned sleeping people. And at night with the windows open and the sounds of drunk tourist rising up storming through the streets of Amsterdam, singing, yelling, fighting, puking, crying, and laughing. It was sort of inexpensive, and they do offer towels. There is no common area to read or to meet any other travelers staying in the hostel. There is no kitchen nor fridge, a microwave yes. There is a vending machine with padlocks and Heineken for sale. The front desk people are very nice. Everything was clean and safe. It is conveniently located!

It was indeed an easy stay. Easy commute, easy to find, easy to check in. Not too easy however to sleep because the rooms are cramped and there's not much place to put your stuff. The bathroom is tiny, but clean. Good for an easy stay.

The hostel doesn't respect the covid-19 rules: a lot of people in a very small room, moreover, it isn't clean and the rooms smell (probably because of the number of people in that very small room). Eventhough the cheap price, they shouldn't put people's life in danger.

If you would like to have a complete on edge and bad experience, stay here! We were woken up both days of our stay to having the sheet ripped off from our heads and shaken to be asked if we are checking out,when they could've quite easily checked the system.... Also I left my bathroom items and came to the reception a couple of hours later and they were completely unhelpful and wouldn't even check the room. You also have to scale 4 floors of steep stairs to get to your room, would not recommend

Ella McCloskey Michigan, USA August 2-9, 2021 One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Rooms are super clean and the staff is really nice. The location is PERFECT! There's a nice supermarket right down the street for budgeted travelers (really awesome prepackaged food, fresh fruit/veggies, including vegan) and it's inexpensive! There are tons of things to do within 5-10 minutes walk, and it's really close to the train station. The Syrian restaurant just a few doors down has amazing food, as do just about all the restaurants. I noticed the complaints--which are absolutely ridiculous!!!! You're in AMSTERDAM!!! CENTRAL AMSTERDAM...so sorry, people aren't going to bed at 8 p.m.! If you want peaceful quietude, maybe a spa vacation in the remote areas of the Himalayas might be a better choice for you! And the comments about the stairs...yes, they are steep, but this is how they built buildings 100 years ago (get a clue)! Super inexpensive (I stayed August 2-9, 2021) and paid $20/night for an 8 bed/mixed dorm, but they also have other arrangements and single rooms available--Hotels 2 doors down (and in general) run an average of $160 usd and up. Everyone was so unbelievably nice. I highly recommend this Hostel! One last thing! If you plan your trip in advance, make sure you book museums/tours ahead of time--I just assumed that I would be able to get tickets the day of... unfortunately, I was quite surprised to find that everything I planned to do was sold out! Tickets seem to be sold out 2 weeks in advance, so book your excursions online as soon as you can. Happy Travels! Cheers!

The hotel is neat. The staff is good. Stairs are quite small in terms of foot space but the room covers up for it. Attached bathroom and washroom are clean and well maintained. Online booking should be preferred few days before or else u will not get rooms anywhere

The price-quality is very good. The staff is very nice and friendly. clean bed sheets, comfortable beds. Very big shower bath and a small toilet. They have a machine with food and some products, for example saved us from the downer of the joint, and that we forgot the lock to leave our belongings. We were allowed to leave our bags after check out. Thank you!
