★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sinds de 13e eeuw stond ten noorden van het auditorium een watermolen (bij bocht van Den Dolech) en lag het terrein van het auditorium aan de westzijde van de Dommel. In de 19e eeuw was de watermolen de grootste watermolen van de provincie. Hoewel deze aangewezen was als rijksmonument, hebben de opdrachtgevers van het auditorium de rivier verlegd om het terrein van de TU te vergroten (voor het auditorium) en daarbij de molen in 1955/56 illegaal gesloopt zonder hiervoor gestraft te worden.
Since the 13th century there has been a water mill to the north of the auditorium (at the bend of Den Dolech) and the auditorium site was located on the west side of the Dommel. In the 19th century, the watermill was the largest watermill in the province. Although it was designated as a national monument, the auditorium's clients moved the river to enlarge the site of the TU (for the auditorium) and illegally demolished the mill in 1955/56 without being punished for this.
