★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, very nice tour and description of the main planetarium room where this oldest mechanical planetarium in the world is still functioning. The view of the mechanism is very nice, and the details of the documents from the time of construction are impressive. The colours of the walls and ceiling are original, quite impressive too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oldest working planetarium is incredible, and with a few Euros for entry, this should be on your must-see list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic museum - accessible toilets, ramps and pathways, elevator. Can't get to all places (house from the 1800s) but they managed to provide great accessibility. Oldest working planetarium in the world. Best museum ever!
Guided tour in Dutch and English.
It's less than 1,5 hours from Amsterdam. If you go via the Afsluitdijk you will see another Dutch cultural heritage location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Feel the history, discover the smart man. It is in the city centre, the planetarium was made by Eise (you can see the original things). You should take your child there also. Ticket is 5.25 Euro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best museum ever. Started with the oldest still working planetarium finished in 1781 made by a wool carder. . But has also a wealth of related exhibitions in the original 18th century houses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic museum to go to, to learn everything about the planets in our solar system. A very nice in person explanation about Eise Eisinga's home made planetarium!
A nice challenge for the kids to be actively researching the museum ? ?
A must go when visiting Friesland!
