I have always played the piano before I met Elena, but she brought my skills to a whole new level and opened up a new world for me. She provided clear and detailed direction on both technical and musical aspects of the pieces we played. We discussed the music, the composer, and the story of the pieces. Elena also nurtured my joy in performing, and we always strived to prepare the concerts at a high standard. I still remember performing a piano concerto with her - that was truly special and unforgettable. My daughter also started learning piano with her when she turned 5, and I could see her blossom. Elena very patiently instilled the correct technique from the beginning, and more importantly, she instilled the love for music in her. Elena is a demanding teacher - I believe there is no success without discipline, determination, and hard work; but she is also kind, loving, and understanding, and for me, she is a blessing!
