Terribly rude personel. Boss you around, give unclear information about what is required of you. And wow, the lady who picked up the phone; what a grumpy, asocial 'human'. I don't think they are really Ghanaian, because in Ghana, everyone is respectful & friendly. Very disappointing experience

It's unbelievable how people treat you in this place. The girl working at the reception simply didn't want to help, and demanded me to get out of the embassy! She replied with such arrogance and treated me and my boyfriend as if we were trash, telling us we couldn't tell her how to do her job. All this because she refused to see if our documents and visa application were in the system. We come from Amsterdam, and it's a long and expensive journey untill Den Haag, just imagine going there for nothing. We asked her to call a manager or supervisor we could talk to and she replied that she is the one, and she is in charge. This is my first time going to Ghana and unfortunately I have to say that because of this poor service and treatment, I don't have the feeling of going there again. I read all the bad experiences here and nobody seems to reply or take action. Now I'm back home without a visa just because this girl decided to be an idiot. What's left for me to do is to try and find a way of getting my visa without going to this embassy and I will surely complain all the ways possible so that maybe someday there will be changes.

The lady at reception is amazingly helpful and kind. Some of the staff can be a bit less kind but some other people are exceptionally nice. If you have all you need ready, there should be no problem :)

Be polite, follow their rules and check check double check your application for any mistakes before you submit anything online prior to your appointment. To me it seems the rude encounters with the staff mainly happen when people make mistakes in their application... It's definitely not the most heartwarming place I've ever been in my life, but reading the reviews gives me the impression Satan himself inhabits this place, haha. It's really not that bad. At all.

I really can’t understand all of these negative reviews. Went in there for an emergency visa, and both the receptionist and the guy who handled my visa were so amazingly NICE. There were people in front of me who had a messed up application because they clearly didn’t read the visa procedure well enough (they clearly state on the website, if you do not hold a DUTCH passport (regardless of whether you consider yourself to be half Dutch or whatever), you NEED an UITTREKSEL). Also, they were planning in bringing cameras and filming in Ghana, which is considered press/media! Well the guy at the desk was doing everything in his power to help them get their visa so they can fly out in 2 days! He was doing the same with another lady who only brought copies of her documents and not her originals. For my application, I didn’t upload my residence permit into my application. He said NO PROBLEM, just email me a photo of it right now, and that was that. I got my emergency visa 2 hours later. In my experience, it was the people who were getting visas that were being extremely rude! Acting very entitled and annoyed because they didn’t bring the correct documents with them and therefore the applications could not immediately be processed. One guy brought a signed note from his girlfriend or whomever stating that he could pick up her visa or something on her behalf. NOT ALLOWED. Read the website 10, 20, 30 times! If you’re still not sure, CALL. They’re not trying to intentionally keep people from going to Ghana. Tourism, students, people going on business...it’s all lucrative for their economy.
