A	Adrie Huiskamp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prima plaats om gratis te parkeren voor als je op zondag vroeg met de trein verder naar Duitsland of het Alpengebied wilt, omdat er dan in Nederland nauwelijks iets voor pakweg 8 uur rijdt. De stoptrein doet er wel lang over om in Düsseldorf te komen. Verder is er niets, maar dat hoeft ook niet. Great place to park for free if you want to go on a train to Germany or the Alpine region early on Sunday, because then there is hardly anything in the Netherlands for around 8 hours. The slow train takes a long time to get to Düsseldorf. There is nothing else, but you don't have to.

Voor mensen met beperkte mobiliteit ook een eindstation als men op het middenperron aan komt aangezien de tunnel echt geen optie is met voertuigen. Ooit was er personeel om te helpen oversteken aan het einde van het perron, maar zoals geschreven, vergane glorie... Faded glory... L	Luca Poen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Bahnhof ist kein gutes Zugangstor zur Stadt Emmerich. Er ist ziemlich heruntergekommen und muss dringend der Modernisierung unterzogen werden. So fehlt beispielsweise eine öffentliche Toilette am Bahnhof. Darüber hinaus ist es unzumutbar, dass noch immer keine Aufzüge vorhanden sind, weshalb Radfahrer sowie vor allem Menschen mit einem körperlichen Defizit die Bahnsteiggleise 3 und 4 kaum erreichen können. Außerdem stellt das Verkehrsangebot nur eine befriedigende Basis dar. Es ist schade, dass der RE 19 ausschließlich stündlich und der RE 5 sogar nur morgens und abends jeweils einmal in Lastrichtung hält. Ebenso ist das Entfallen des ICE-Haltes bedauerlich. Dahingegen sind das Reisezentrum und der Kiosk zwei doch recht positive Aspekte, die der Emmericher Bahnhof zu bieten hat. UPDATE (Januar 2022): Seit Ende letzten Jahres verfügt der Bahnhof über zwei Aufzüge, mit denen sich die beiden Bahnsteige barrierefrei erreichen lassen.
