Following prompts to "upgrade" a SanDisk Cruzer USB Drive from their SanDiskSecureAccess software to ENC Security's PrivateAccess (v. 6.3.6), I ran into a nightmare. After installation, none of the old files encrypted with SanDiskSecureAccess were visible. This was supposed to be an "in place" upgrade that wouldn't involve a re-formatting of the drive. Fortunately, I keep multiple copies of sensitive data but it's the principle here. Reached out to Gary at ENC Security, who was very responsive, and connected me with SanDisk support. At first, Sandisk support seemed to give an "oh well" shrug to my issue--but to their credit, they eventually elevated the issue to a higher level and were in the end able to provide a tool that was able to recover the invisible files. Thank you. Why the 3 rating? Well, I give both Gary at ENC Security and SanDisk support a 5/5 for eventually solving the issue. I give the SanDisk testing & validation group (if there is one), a 1/5 since the "upgrade" caused foreseeable problems that should have been caught before rollout. Bottom line: yes, this is a small issue involving only a consumer-level USB flash drive, but I hope the Sandisk / ENC Security partners have done a better job validating their products on higher-end systems. Good luck to them both.

The software works as expected, with no issues. The customer support was very supportive with answers to my questions and extra tips. Recommended!

Would NOT recommend. NO customer support ! I e-mailed them in December, they replied on the 26th of January. Though through some miracle I solved the problem on my own, this is no way to treat your customers. From my point of view, there is 0 customer support and should receive 0 stars. 1 star is way too much for how they treat their customers!

Had the response to my question been a little quicker, I would give it a five star rating. I wanted to make a duplicate of my data file for my partner but there were no instructions on how to do this. ENC Security technician, Gary Kilgour, gave me easy step by step instructions on how to do this.

I am giving four stars, not because of the product, which did not work properly, but for the good customer service when I informed ENC of my issue. Gary Kilgour of ENC Support was extremely helpful in trying to resolve my issues. Ultimately, when the problem could not be fixed, he promptly refunded my payment. Props to ENC for a good support staff. I only wish I could have used their product.
